Where is the Schedule?
A: The full schedule is available on our Main Page at the bottom above featured speakers.
It includes session times, speaker details, and links to view speaker pages.
All times are Central Daylight Time (CDT) due to broadcasting from TRC Consultants HQ @ Austin, TX.
Featured sessions will be at the hour, while short form content such as the Quick Starts will start when the featured content has ended.
What does the color-coding on the schedule mean?
The color-coding helps differentiate between session types:
- Light Orange (Everyday AM): All Morning Sessions and featured guests for morning sessions are in light orange.
- Dark Green (Monday AM): Ryder Scott Keynote Kick-off session featuring Marylena Garcia, P.E.
- Dark Gold (Monday PM): Join us for a special event featuring a PHDwin Week veteran and oil and gas reserves leader, Larry Connor, P.E.
- PHDwin Red (Every Day, AM Training Session, PM Product Demo/Info: All PHDwin Brand Red sessions are Insider sessions. These are free information sessions about PHDwin V3 and free training for participants.
- Training Short Course: Comprehensive instructor led V3 training provided by Dr. Marshal Wigwe.
- Light Yellow (2x per day AM/PM Sessions): QED Quick Starts Featuring Courtney, Erin, and Frankie from QED Energy Associates. QED provides some of the highest engagement sessions with quick tips and workflows to make you proficient in PHDwin V3.
- All QED Quick Starts begin right after morning sessions. Some morning sessions may be longer causing slight delays of +- 15 minutes.
- All QED afternoon Quick Starts may end earlier. This will lead to longer Q&A Segments.
- Dark Blue / Purple (Monday PM): At 2:00 pm CDT Special feature and first time PHDwin Week presenter Jim Tague provides a sneak peak at his newest book.
- Bright Orange (every day): Completely live interactive segments where any questions asked during the day through our closed and moderated form (registered participants ONLY) will be answered by presenters and moderators.
- Light Teal (Tuesday AM): At 10:00 am CDT Richard Smith, ex-director of Reserves at Maersk Oil will present a shocking expose on the work he and TRC Consultants performed from 2010 – 2011 to make Maersk Oil PRMS / SPE compliant within 18 months. This long awaited story is finally being told live on PHDwin Week.
- Light Grey (every day except Monday): We are planning on having every lunch session (other than Monday) feature replays from previous years or other content not yet announced.
- Dark Grey (Tuesday PM): Our featured panel this year brings together veteran E&P leader Gavin McQueen and industry expert Laura Freeman to discuss the state of the oil and gas industry. This panel is moderated by 4th time PHDwin Presenter Dwayne Purvis, P.E.
- Green (Wednesday AM): Join Brandon Penner from Anthem Energy Partners as he discusses his experience in adopting PHDwin V3 as an experienced V2 user
- Light Blue (Wednesday PM): Our most requested session every year, ETHICS as presented by celebrated guest David Clark. Ethics sessions are a required P.E. Continuing education credit hour required yearly. Therefore we guarantee our Ethics session will stream from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm CDT without question.
- Light Green (Thursday PM): Join Zack Warren from Velocity Insight as he discusses issues in data quality in oil and gas, his presentation “Clean Your Kitchens Not Your Basements” is a must for those in data science and reserves reporting.
- Light Blue: Join a brand new PHDwin partner, Blue River Analytics, who are taking the Spotfire world by storm. This data analytics, machine learning, and data visualization firm has created a seamless integration between PHDwin V3 and their flagship Analytics 4 Energy (A4E) Suite which is built all on Spotfire. The firm founded by John Buckley, and with guest speakers Jonathan Guthrie & Steve Hoye is sure to please clients who have long requested visualization toolkits in Spotfire and who are looking for new valuation methods leveraging statistical analysis, machine learning, and big data analysis.
- Dark Blue (Friday AM): Join a PHDwin Week favorite presenter Dwayne Purvis, P.E. as he covers an insightful presentation on the state of oil and gas employment and public perception. This data focused presentation discusses the last decade of the industry and provides a look forward on addressing pressing issues which may dissuade top talent from joining our industry.

How do I register for PHDwin Week?
A: Visit our https://www.phdwindownload.com/phdwin-week-2024/, fill in your details, and submit the form. Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with further instructions. Registration is required to ask questions for the Q&A sessions or get priority access to PHDwin Week replays.
If you plan to stream via LinkedIn / Youtube you only need an active account on those platforms.
I Didn't receive my registration confirmation e-mail. What should I do?
Check your spam/junk folder first. If it’s not there, contact support at strujillo@phdwin.com or support@phdwin.com for assistance.
You may also consider whitelisting the address marketing@phdwindownload.com
My Client Portal Login account is not working, what should I do?
PHDwin Week uses different credentials than the Client Portal. You need to create a new user on phdwindownload.com to register. Once you are logged in phdwindownload.com you will see the top header bar change, and a large “Log out” button will be displayed. As long as you are logged in the PHDwin Download website, no further action is required to interact with all stream elements, questions, speaker pages, and view replays as soon as possible.
If you’re PHDwin Download account is not working, make sure you are using the correct username, e-mail, password. If you need to reset your password you may do so in the login window. You can also contact strujillo@phdwin.com or support@phdwin.com for a faster resolution or do manually create a user.
Two-Step Verification
Q: How does two-step verification work?
A: After entering your login credentials, you’ll receive a verification code via email. Enter the code to complete the login process.
Q: I haven’t received my verification code. What should I do?
A: Ensure that the email address provided is correct and check your spam folder. If the problem persists, contact support at support@phdwin.com or strujillo@phdwin.com.

How do I access the live stream for the sessions?
A: Once logged in, visit the PHDwin Week Main Page and Choose a Stream Source. We are livestreaming concurrently to our main download page (where questions and contact forms for speakers are enabled) and to LinkedIn & Youtube which will have no chat and engagement functionality but will work with any valid Youtube / LinkedIn account.
What if I can't access the stream?
If the main stream is unavailable, try using one of our backup streams. Links to backup streams will be provided on the same page and via e-mail everyday.
Streaming via Youtube & LinkedIn
Yes, all sessions will be available on YouTube and LinkedIn. You can find the links to those streams on our main page below the main stream link.
You can also get these links from our e-mail communications daily.
However, the form for asking audience questions will only be available on the main site below the stream.

Frequenly Asked Questions | Firewall & Connection Issues
I’m having trouble accessing the PHDwin Week website due to a firewall. What should I do?
A: Check with your network administrator to ensure that access to our website is allowed. If you’re still having trouble, try using a different network or contact support.
If you are receiving an error from SUCURI with your IP information, please provide your IP address to strujillo@phdwin.com for whitelisting. You are likely in a country we block downloads of our program in order to prevent piracy and malware attacks on our website.
Use of VMs, VPNs, or other IP spoofing and re-direct / masking can also trigger our firewall. If you are having trouble accessing the stream on the main site, please consider using LinkedIn / Youtube for our backup concurrent streams.
I keep getting 503 & 502 Errors
If you are receiving 503 and 502 errors leading to the website timing out, we may be experiencing larger than anticipated server load.
Please consider using our concurrent streams on LinkedIn or Youtube.

How can I contact a Speaker?
You can submit questions or comments to speakers directly using the forms at the bottom of their speaker pages. You can also send an email to strujillo@phdwin.com or jsmith@phdwin.com if you would like a speakers contact information to submit a private business inquiry.
You can also consider using the Typeform below the PHDwin Download stream page for Q&A at the end of the day. These will be addressed during the day in dedicated sessions for Q&A depending on time and availability.
How can I submit questions or comments during the stream?
Use the Main Stream Typeform to submit your questions or comments. Our moderators will forward them to the speaker during the Q&A portion of the session after review.
Will I get a reminder e-mail for every session?
NO. We will send you an email with the week schedule on Friday 9/5/2024 at 1:00 pm with links to the main stream page, full schedule, click-through to speaker pages, click-through to learn more about PHDwin Insider Presentations, and this handy FAQ page.
Will I get a reminder e-mail everday with stream schedule and links?
Yes, we will send registered attendies an email each day with quick-links to stream pages (Main, Youtube, LinkedIn) and a reminder about each days session and time streaming CDT. Each of these e-mails will be sent at 8:00 am CDT to allow ample time before stream morning sessions.
What happens if something is re-scheduled/moved/cancelled?
Our schedule is updated in live time. If you think a change has happened check back on our schedule page. Stay tuned to our PHDwin LinkedIn for additional information and quick notifications. Also, consider joining each morning session where we will provide insight about what is happening that day.
Will PHDwin Week Feature Gift Card and Other Giveaways?
